Clean,
fresh air is perhaps the greatest of all health supplements.
This is why:
We breathe seven times more air volume by weight than
food per day. Disease laden air means we could be at greater
risk than eating contaminated food because of volume.
Most of us now spend up to 95% of our time indoors. The
indoor air tends to be more contaminated with germs, toxins
and dust than in the past. This being the case, we could
be at greater risk just due to time of exposure.
The bodily system that deals with the intake of air (lungs,
bronchial tubes and nasal cavity) is much more susceptible
to diseases than food to the stomach.
Bottom
line: we spend more time in an environment that tends
to be more contaminated, and we are exposing the area
of the body that is most susceptible to diseases.
