HISTORY

Mr. Lester Mooneyham founded Mooneyham Heating and Air Conditioning Co., Inc. in April of 1977. Lester began the principle of honest and reliable work from the beginning. He demanded this quality of each employee and began a business that soon thrived. From it’s humble beginning with four employees and annual sales of $250,000 the company has grown to employ eighteen individuals with sales approaching $2,000,000 per year. In 1996, Lester retired and his son Gary, whom had been with the company since it’s inception, took over as owner and president. Gary’s experience began with installation, then to service, then outside sales and finally management. His experience with industry as a whole enabled him to grow the business to where it is today. Gary handles the day-to-day management of the business as well as commercial sales and service. In 1996, Mr. David Beach came on board as the residential sales and installation manager and serves as company Vice-President.

TEAM

Gary is a State Certified Mechanical Contractor in both Florida and Alabama. He serves on the board of directors for the Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce, the Escarosa Workforce Development, Tanglewood Golf & Country Club and the Dreams Of Joy (Colitis and Crohn’s disease) Foundation. Gary served as Chamber of Commerce President in 2002 and currently heads the Governmental Affairs committee of the Chamber. He also serves as Vice-President of the Northwest Florida Chapter of the Air Conditioning Contractors Association. Gary, his wife Ellen and daughter Kacy reside in Milton. His hobbies include Golf and he has a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo. His daughter Kacy is a past world champion in sport karate fighting and currently competes in the North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA). Ellen is a homemaker and home schools Kacy. She has the most important job of all.

Gary Mooneyham and David Beach are both alumni of Milton High School and the University of West Florida. They are native Santa Rosans and love calling Milton and Northwest Florida home. Both Gary and David are involved actively in the business and also with their families.

David is an Air conditioning journeyman with over twenty-five years of experience in the industry.

Ms. Judy Cooper, manager with Ms. Nora Burnham and Mr. David Beach, Jr. as assistants, heads the office staff. They handle all the phone calls and service scheduling.

Mr. Danny Chafin, Mr. Ted Faktor and Mr. Gregg Jones head the service team up. These individuals all possess the training and knowledge to service all brands of equipment. The installation team consists of ten individuals, all trained in their related departments. Mooneyham Heating & Air prides itself in employee retainage.

The installation crew is headed by Mr. Victor Willis, who has over twenty years with the company. Nearly all the staff has been employed here at least five years. This is an important point to look at when choosing a reliable contractor to service or install a heating and air conditioning system.
